It imports information that makes the job of filing taxes simple. it walks you thru each step even when you tell it that you want to go step by step instead of the recommended way. i recommend TurboTax for anyone that wants a smooth filing experience

Rated 2 out of 5 by from convenient but slimy Tried to file with freefile, turns out I didn't qualify. Got locked into freefile for an hour. Every time I tried to move forward and review my taxes, I got pigeonholed back to the IRS website. Annoying, to say the least. Finally (after googling) I figured out how to go back to the start so I could use deluxe. Went through the motions, chose to pay the turbotax deluxe fee using my return, and then find out at the VERY end of the entire process (after signing numerous forms) that they want $40 just to take the money out of my tax return? Frustrating beyond belief. And to know that Intuit LOBBIES CONGRESS to make all of these things infinitely complicated on purpose, so we HAVE to use their products? Outrageous. I hate turbotax and wanted to file a different way this year but simply don't have the time to figure it all out.
