Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, Could be Better One major problem we had was the dollar amount owed. During the entering of the tax data, this amount ended up at about 10K more than it should have. Only after going through error check at the end, and making the final adjustments to data that Turbotax should already have had, were the numbers corrected. It would be better to error check AS SOON AS a form or set of forms are complete, and ERROR CHECK AUTOMATICALLY. THAT is the moment in time when the relevant data is fresh in our minds, and on the papers in front of us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax was simple, and great! Works great! Turbo Tax is simple to use but also has a great help sidebar. asked all the relevant questions. It found me $10,000 in deductions I didn't know were there. I will use it next year!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but Challenging I answered the questions, and still there was an issue, which I found it hard to try and figure out. So if you've got a simple return, great, use it. If you've got something a little more complicated, you might need some help troubleshooting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is pricey and a pain to use I've used TurboTax for many many years, and each year it gets more expensive and a little more difficult to use. I assume that it's more difficult to use because of all of the new tax laws constantly being added, but it's getting pretty ridiculous at this point if you are doing anything other than a basic return. It's easier than trying to figure out all of the forms yourself, but not by much. They also started adding ads for Coinbase this year, and by default they selected to pay our state tax return to our coinbase account (which we don't have). Feels kind of slimy to do that.
