Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chokes on 1099 if transaction volume is high TurboTax works fine if the tax returns are simple. If you have a large number of transactions (purchases/sales) on your brokerage's 1099 form, TurboTax chokes and runs into a bunch of errors when e-filing. It took me a week to figure out by myself (with no useful help from customer service agents) that it's best not to import data from brokerage and instead report summary of each transaction as proceeds and cost basis.
