Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Easy To Use, Hard To Some Find Items Again I completely filled out the federal and state returns. My state was to have a refund. When I clicked to sign and file, it did a final check and said one question on the state return was not answered - a yes or no question. It was not written clearly what it was in regard to, but said if yes then the following questions would need to be filled out. My AGI was listed automatically in the following questions so I selected yes and it kicked me out of the return, stating I needed to file by paper. There were no options to fix it to no, b/c at that point I realized I obviously answered it incorrectly, and wanted to still charge me $40 to file the return, plus now stated I didn’t owe money nor would I receive a refund, which was incorrect. I attempted online chat but it was a useless robot. I called and first was told by the automated system that I didn’t have a return filed (which I did not yet and selected the option for such), so I had to call back and it took forever to get ahold of a representative b/c the automated system was trying to be ‘helpful’. The guy I spoke with was not able to get anything straightened out but was very patient and walked me through everything, and he was able to get a refund set up for the state filing since I was no longer able to file it through this site. Overall the system walks you through everything, but really needs to be better about wording questions in laymen’s terms, especially considering most people pay to file through this site b/c it’s supposed to be easier and clearer than filing the paper forms.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I was forced to pay $120 to file my taxes They made me pay for deluxe to file my taxes. The deluxe package only was $40 dollars witch ended up being $120. Now there taking way to much out of my taxes when I didn’t use any features of the deluxe and I’m out of $120

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great service! Very user friendly and easy to follow steps. Only things are: it made me add in a 2nd income when I didn't have more than one job, and they started charging $40 to file state taxes when I already owe $50. Just another way to jab the knife a bit deeper
