Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware of hidden fees.... This is my second year using turbo tax. For someone who knows very little about taxes this for the most part is a user friendly system. Last year i paid nothing and had no problems filing out the forms and getting my return. This year I was hit with fees after fees and ended up getting charged $130 to file my taxes. Tried to undo that charge and they forced the transaction on me anyways. Seemed like something with the system changed where they trick you in selecting options you don't have too.. Overall not happy this year, may consider trying somewhere else next year!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok, but not SMART For the first time in many years of using had to engage live help because of some non-smart software issues. The helper had me blindly delete a form, when the problem was an incorrect state abbreviation. Once I re entered all of the data, it went well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from turbo fees using turbo tax is easy. user friendly. hidden costs are not good. such as claims its 60 to file tax returns, what it doesnt say is thsat is only federal, its another 50 for state then another 40 to have the fees taken from tax return. it costs me more to use turbo tax then to pay for an accountant to do my taxes, i started using turbo tax because it was cheaper and i could do them, i will likely go back to my accountant to have them done next year. 150 this year. only costs 100 for accountant.
