Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great service for free, but too many extra steps I love that TurboTax offers a free filing service, that I rate 5/5. However, I find all of the screens in between forms annoying. For example, being told the app is going to check for something and having to press next/continue 3 times to resolve the process. Why not just have it all on one screen? At the top, tells me what’s going on. Then at the bottom it shows the result once it’s done processing. I find myself blindly pressing the button to get to the next relevant screen. Why do I need to be told “one more thing” or “we’re going to check for missing info” every time? As the user, I expect all screens to be concise with important information. Otherwise, I begin skimming and skipping over potentially important info. The worse thing about the service is when you’re expecting the next form or for your totals and it’s a meaningless screen that does nothing other than extend the amount of time I have to spend filing my taxes. Please get rid of the fluff. Also would love for the tools to be included in the app and not just on the web.
