Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax will need to review their Web Site For the consecutive sixth year, I file my taxes using TurboTax but since 2019 I have become more dissatisfied each year and doubt I will use it again. In 2019, due to deficiencies of the site, which should have warned me, my return was sent without entering the 1095-A data, so I had to wait a month and make a rectification of my return, taking longer to receive the return. In 2020, already warned, I did not finish until I had included everything. But I wasted a lot of time putting in the itemized deductions, only to receive at the end the recommendation to use the standard deductions. This year, almost everything went well, but I had to make the itemized deductions again, due to the purchase of a Van in 2021. In the end, the site ask me if I want a specialist to clarify any doubts (with the warning that is included in the price). The "question" cost me 77 dollars!!!. At no time did I select the TurboTax Live Max option and I only found out the price after I placed my card and the payment was made. I FILLED OUT ALL THE FORMS BY MYSELF, AND I NEVER SELECTED THAT OPTION. Your specialist Kathleen tried to solve the problem, for half an hour. She seems like she couldn't get a proper answer and she just ended the call. With this "mistake" I lost 56% of my return, paying for a "Live" service I didn't use. Next year I will use the IRS website (for free) to fill out my taxes and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE TURBOTAX!!! I know many companies in the US don't mind losing customers, but don't count me as a TurboTax customer anymore.
