Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like having a tax advisor by your side Did taxes by hand for years. Used Turbo Tax once and have never gone back to paper, pen, calculator and publications. Two glaring problems that Turbo Tax won't fix really detract from the software. 1. If any states are ever downloaded, you are stuck with them forever. Worked in NY one summer after college in 2003, lived in SC for a few years, now live in Va. Every year Turbo Tax takes up disk space when it loads all 3 states. When booting up Turbo Tax I have to wait while it updates all 3 states with changes. Please add a remove state option. 2. I pay extra for the State software along with the Federal program. After all of the work is done and my Va. taxes are ready to file, the Federal filing is free. Why does Turbo Tax charge an additional $25 to e-file?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll never use another Tax company This year I did a lot of moving, I had a baby, and worked different jobs and had different health insurance. They helped me out so much. They made it easy for me and were very understanding of my screaming baby in the background. Between all the forms, and new changes this year they were able to help me greatly. Love Turbo Tax they didn't let me down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nothing new or major in this release This year seemed to have a lot less needs for updating the software. If you are a returning user, it transfered all the prior data flawlessly. Only a couple deadend step by step guides.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More complicated and Tool has lot of bugs Though it helps to file the tax, I had to spend lot of time, Customer support is not great. No tax help and Tool has lot of unresolved bugs including Managing Crypto Currency. I am totally disappointed as the issues are increasing year after the Year. Instructions and explanations are not user friendly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lacks compatibility with accessibility settings. My son had to come by and undo all of the accessibility settings i had configured over time because Turbotax software would not compensate for my font size settings. Specifically - Turbo Tax opened popup windows that were sized outside of screen resolution limits in the card payment entry forms. Even with the scroll wheel I could not scroll down to bring the "CONTINUE" button on screen so it could be clicked, and I could not drag the window title bar high enough to bring the buttons into view making them accessible to click - everything remained hidden from view below the bottom of the screen. My son figured it out as I was losing my mind trying to figure out why entering my info into the multiple text boxes left me with no option to advance to the next screen and before my son got involved i had re-entered my info half a dozen times with no success - outside of windows programmers who would think to recognize and correct off screen issues when turbo tax software fails to remain within screen resolution constraints!?! So now that my computer has been modified back to its original format for the sake of Turbotax software I can't read the micro fine print on my desktop and elsewhere ... so I'm expected to make adjustments to screen resolution and font sizes for Turbotax because Turbotax software fails to check off screen limits ((( when an application creates a window that exceeds screen limits you can't simply scroll to the parts at the bottom - they remain off screen at the furthest reach of the scroll. My son says this has been an issue with Turbotax software for many years - since he started using it and he just figured it out by trial and error - if you don't know there are buttons off screen you can't reach by scrolling, resizing a window, dragging or maximizing - you don't even know the buttons to advance to the next window are there. Is it rocket science to make popup windows that do not exceed legal screen limits within Microsoft Windows? or to at least do a simple system check at startup to see if font sizes are going to drive form layouts outside of legal screen limits so a client can at least be notified by the software that font sizes need to be reset to 100% and not beyond? This would eliminate a lot of headaches for many who are not computer literate enough to recognize that they even have a problem ... if you can't see a button in the first place, how is your customer to know that it is even there. How many old people have lost hours waiting for Turbotax to respond to their input drooling out of gaping mouths because they just don't know to check for these things!?! Come on Turbotax ... Fix this! Also, why do I have to allow advertisements to submit this review? I had to accept 25 beacons and for ad whatevers just to tell you your software has bugs.
