Rated 2 out of 5 by from First Year I've had an issue with TurboTax This year, Turbo Tax was showing a lot of errors on the user interface. Saying "Needs Review" when documents didn't need to be reviewed. Clicking review then brought me to a page that loaded the document again again. I had the document loaded multiple times. When the prompt referred to my income (I.e. "since you made x amount of dollars this year, you are eligible for....), it was often wrong. Turbotax needs to fix its bugs.

I have always filed my own taxes and never had any issues but I always like to err on the safe side and back it with safety measures. So, I opted for the $120 option for federal, $55 for the state. I go back and forth about the $60 for MAX defend. Ultimately decided to take the plunge because I have a couple of added items that I do not usually file and again I would rather be protected. At this point, I am cringing at using $235 to file my taxes (I do them myself because I do NOT want to overpay. I need that income). BUT the kicker... CHARGING ANOTHER $40 to process my direct deposit!? Don't incentivize Credit Karma users with $20, and maybe people who do not want to use that option won't be penalized. WAY TO SQUEEZE OUT EVERY $$$ POSSIBLE
