Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo used to be the best This year was the second year I had to file as an independent contractor and while TurboTax used to be east and hassle free I was not pleased this year. It kept sending me in a loop to fill out sections that were already complete until I agree to upgrade my services to the most expensive service. I do not appreciate that and I can’t afford that. I’m a single parent and I work hard to make my money. Which is why I file my own taxes. I don’t like being forced to upgrade to the most expensive service when I don’t need it. I didn’t even speak to someone because I didn’t need to. Once I FINALLY got to the end to file I was able to only downgrade one level and still had to pay for the middle tear. So my total showed up and I was ok with it until the final checkout. It added an additional $44 on top and there was no way to get rid of it. Do better TurboTax don’t be like cooperate greedy America and take more money from millions of people because you think you can.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No discounts applied Most financial institutions upload a consolidated tax form, but during review, it appears as singular forms and box numbers that do not reflect the consolidated. Very difficult to review. Advertised 30% off for early March submittal, but no such discount was applied and couldn't find how to enter it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax ease of use Actual program great easy to use. Issue: lack of prompts while loading. User not sure the program is working, no screen messages to let you know what is happening, sometimes wanted to "hit a key" to see if the program was running.
