Rated 1 out of 5 by from TurboTax is the scum of the earth This program exists because you funnel millions of dollars into the pockets of politicians to create a convoluted system that allows you to pray on people who have never harmed you or the United States tax system. Your program is confusing, misleading, and prone to issues. It's one thing to create a problem and charge for a solution, but when your solution can't recognize a basic input error and is as easy to navigate as when you were founded in 1984, you have a serious problem on your hands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changes in Turbo Tax overall I like Turbo tax except when I went to pay this year. We are a military family and haven't had to pay to file taxes and have been using Turbo Tax for hears. This year they decided to take off National Guard and wont be using after this year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Issues installing the software Had issues installing TurboTax on my PC from a CD. When I got to the activation screen, it just looked blank. After disability anti-virus and firewalls, it still did not work. Finally looked on line and found the issue with the screen resolution needing to be 800×600 to be able to see the box. What a mess. Fix your code. Who uses 800×600 anymore?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Experienced Tax Return Preparer Review I've been doing tax returns for over 30 years, both as a paid preparer and a Turbo Tax and Pro Series user plus Tier 1 Pro Series. This has been a more difficult year to decipher the correct path through the return using the "explain everything" method. The part about personal property taxes and vehicle registration fees needs better clarification. Add real state examples, such as Virginia to clarify the differences. The closing steps for the return (Fed and State) has become confusing and I nearly blew this step even though I've done it many times correctly. Perhaps a page to tell the preparer the sequence of pages to follow up front. I'm still not sure if my credit card has been charged multiple times as the page I was on "kicked back" to earlier pages without any selection made. Finally, after going back and forth either to print or save or pay, first Intuit (my last year's password didn't work) then the third-party vendor. I frankly got lost at the end and it took way too long to "cash out" and get an e-filed confirmation. I suggest you re-storyboard the close out process. I still haven't printed the return because the software wants me to save a .pdf file. I will have to print the return from my backup file after trying from the software many times.
