Rated 5 out of 5 by Nenesdolphins from turbo tax is easy to use!!!! I was especially please by how easy the format is to complete and the quick response when I requested assistance. She was able to go over my forms and locate the item I had missed which caused me to owe State of Alabama taxes.. I am a retired State employee, with social security. Alabama does not tax social security or retirement drawn so when I saw it showing a amount owed I knew I had done some wrong. She helped me and I was impressed with her assistance and knowledge.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jmtz86 from Great Live Service Rep, Terrible Website Experienc I was unable to add "Audit Defense" to this year's option for either live or self preparation. It was either you select one, or the other. No add-ons, as I usually add, nothing. Now I'm stuck in a terrible tax year, with no audit representation. I'm NOT at all happy with the service Turbo Tax has turned into. My representative was nothing short of great, but the website has turned to trash. We will likely not be using this service again thanks to this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bonniejlc from A few TurboTax program errors Overall a good experience but I found a few entries needed to be overridden because they pulled from the wrong field. I've been using this program to file my brother's Trust for several years now and although it has improved a great deal, I've learned what to look for in my review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PL414 from Software Error Caused Return Rejection I've been using TurboTax for 5+ years and it's always worked relatively well. This year's tax situation was more complicated but I decided to stick with it. After spending a significant amount of time on my returns, they got rejected because of a software error. Intuit gave me one typed paragraph which told me to re-do the most complicated part of my return. Didn't offer help or do anything to make up for the hassle. See below. Overall, a frustrated experience this year. We've identified a potential issue in your federal tax return due to an error in our software. We've fixed this and apologize for any inconvenience. You'll need to sign into TurboTax, review and correct your 1099-B information (steps below), and resubmit your return. This is just for your federal tax return. 1) Sign in to your TurboTax account. 2) Select Federal (left menu), then Wages & Income (also left menu). 3) Find the Investments and Savings (1099-B...) section and select the Edit/Add button. 4) Locate the drop down menu next to a brokerage or bank you imported stocks or bonds from last year's TurboTax (Form 1099-B). 5) Select the trash can icon to delete the entry. 6) Re-enter or import your transactions again, correcting the cost basis as needed. 7) Repeat for any other brokerages/banks you carried over from last year. 8) E-file your return (you won't be charged any additional fees).
