As a very small LCC member, not only do we have to buy a completely separate package to calculate our Schedule K-1 (TurboTax Business), in order to ENTER a K-1 into our personal taxes we have to UPGRADE another $119 from Deluxe to Premium. $119. To enter one form. I'm also a bit disgusted by the overt push to have your refund pay for the multitude of TurboTax products you must collect along the way. Convenient, right? I guess so if you have another $39 lying around. Where is the transparency around this? Taxes are stressful enough. I'm disappointed with the constant mid-filing marketing schemes being employed. I'm disappointed with the seeming lack of transparency around what products you need and the fact you are basically caught mid-file only to find out you must upgrade or change the entire trajectory of your filing. Feels like a series of traps. As obnoxious as it will be to reenter past information next year, I will be looking elsewhere for 2023 tax filing software.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A completely horrific experience There a bug in the RSU filing using the Mac desktop version for 2022, which was not present in previous year. Turbotax literally does the incorrect math and was accidentally adding $2,000 of income from capital gains I never had. How do I know it is a bug? After days of struggling and wrecking my brains as to how that could possible be true, I repeated the same tax filing process from scratch in the online version of Turbotax. Same exact input, but not I did not have the bug. The only caveat is that I had already paid for the desktop version (and for filing the taxes). Then I had to pay another $178 to file the bug-less version of Turbotax online. Bottom line: I had to spend way too much time and money for a bug introduced in 2022. I did not even think this would have be possilble. Shame on you Intuit people for having poor software engineering practices.
