Rated 4 out of 5 by from If TurboTax could change one thing... Overall I was pretty happy with my TurboTax experience. I used a free version through my credit union to file a pretty simple Federal and State return and it was reasonably intuitive to use. However I have one big complaint that may prevent me from using it again if this is not resolved. There needs to be a way you can indicate if you want to take the Standard Deduction instead of Itemizing. I had done my own calculations in advance and already knew that the Standard Deduction was the way to go. But the software makes you fill out all the itemized information first before it finally tells you what you already know. I have a number of charitable contributions and it is incredibly tedious and time-consuming to enter all those details, knowing the whole time that it is not necessary.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from state filing has been made harder in order to file for a check, it was very unclear what to do for state return. I then opted to pay for e-filing and took me two payments to be able to do so

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Long time user, normally it is excellent I have used turbo tax for over 25 years. Last year there were a few issues, but nothing major. 2021 returns were full of serious errors that had to be corrected, recorrected, and recorrected. Once corrected you had to start completely over again and re-enter information as it never seems to remember what you enter. The re-enter issue had been ongoing for a number of years. To be honest, not much has changed in the entering of information in 25 years. Its past time for an update. If I didn't have years and years of info in turbo tax, I might try something different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The tax assistance is worth a million! I was stuck on a section of my tax return I did not understand or was able to work out. I contacted a Turbo Tax agent in Florida and she helped me through the issue. I could not have do it without Renisa! THANK YOU!
