Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wish free actually meant free Turbo Tax is great software, but it's impossible to file for free, even with a simple tax return like mine. No matter what I did, it kept making me go back to pay to complete my filing. Basically all the money I got as a refund was spent to file.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Your cost upgrades are sneaky. Flat rates. Flat rates. stop with the surprise upgrade rates and 40 refund fee to pay out of your refund. Takes away from any sense of honesty/integrity. Also wasted an hour on the phone with a very nice but uneducated “tax expert” who had my numbers all over the place thus having to clear the return and start over, finished by myself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love TurboTax, but not the new cost I have used TurboTax to file my taxes since age 18 (15 yrs). It is super convenient and easy to use. It used to be free and that was great! This year I had to pay $110 to file (fed & state) bc I have a HSA. What a load of crap! They didn't even ask anything about the HSA. This should have been a simple return and been free as always. Or at least something reasonable like $20. Not $110. I will be filing my taxes for free on paper next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from form 8453 s When printing forms to review, the signature form attached does not show signature. When going to the attachment itself before printing, the form does show the scanned image with signature. So what has been sent e file?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't inform customers about known product issue IRS rejected my e-file multiple times because TurboTax improperly calculated values for an *inherited* IRA that I *do not have*. There was no communication from TurboTax customer support. Customers had to compare tax situations to discover what the problem was on their own. If not for the IRS systems rejecting the return, my tax return would have been INCORRECT. What good is a "guarantee" from TurboTax if they won't even communicate about a widespread issue?
