Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is a Life Saver I have been filing my own taxes on Turbo tax for about 10 years. The walk through of everything is wonderful. When you have changes in life events such as business, family, or medical, it walks you through that as well. This program looks for all the possible ways to save and get more moeny. The cost is phenominal, in other words lowere than some places that do the work for you. I made a few errors on my taxes several years ago, and turbo tax notified me and walked me through everything it could. It aso has options for a tax speciallist to help with very complicated taxes or if you are audited, for a fee ofcourse. The fee, along with the cost to do your own taxes, is affordable for the amount of service you will receive. If you relocated and have to file income for multiplestates, Turbo tax walks you through that also! Just about every result is explained as far as why you may or may not qualify for something. If you qualify to file electronocally they will let you know and you may be able to pay your fees with your taxes. I appreciate all the help every year and highly recommend you try this DIY tax service. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but has some flaws We sold our house and had a $75K gain, but since we were filing jointly, did not have to pay tax. TT did NOT tell us this, rather, just added the gain to our income (after cost basis, which wasn't really needed) and upped our taxes based on the gain. NO WHERE did it take us to questions that would qualify us for the $500K exclusion. Disappointing but not the first time something this has happend.
