TurboTax Live Full Service
Rated 3 out of 5 by JayDDD from Why pay for Turbo Tax Live Premium When I started my return, I was told to use the live premium if I needed to talk with someone. If needed, I could change the level of service. I've had tax questions in the past, so that made sense. But I didn't need it when I got through the process. But, they refused to allow me to file without paying for a service I never used. This is bizarre and unacceptable. If it was used, then I should pay for it. But they forced me to pay for it or lose all the work I had put into the process. It's still a good deal compared to other services, but I would have paid $70-90 instead of $210. That may be the last straw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by PhiloAndVignette from If you hit a bug, you're f#@$ed I hit a glitch with my 1095A form and could not fix it after much researching, so now I have to print my tax returns out and snail mail them. UGGGH! Think this is my last year using TT.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Grumpy Granny from Was okay I guess. Lost out on a portion of refund Couldn't get it to accept as Head of Household when I completely qualified by all government standards and the ones Turbotax stated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DwillianM from TurboTax Converts Simple Trust To Complex Trust I used Turbotax Business to file a simple trust federal tax return. The program kept changing the trust to a complex trust. This is incorrect. I managed to get Turbotax to file as a simple trust by repeatedly going into the 1099-Div section. There I reported foreign tax paid for box 7. Box 8 was missing however. Later in the interview process I was asked what portion of the dividends was from a foreign country and if the dividends were from a RIC or Other Source. Initially I said RIC since that was indicated in the summary information for my 1099-DIV. I eventually discovered that I should have selected Other Source and then entered Various for the foreign countries (as shown on my 1099-DIV for box 8). This section is extremely confusing as written. Why not just provide the option of entering Various for box 8 when initially entering the 1099-DIV information? Entering RIC seems to cause the simple trust to be automatically converted to a complex trust without any notification to the user. By going back, changing the trust back to a simple trust, and then changing RIC to Other when entering the 1099-DIV information I was able to get Turbotax to keep the trust as a simple trust. The section for entering 1099-DIV when foreign taxes are involved clearly needs work to make it clear to the user how to properly input the required information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Scott372 from Turbo Tax is the only way to file your taxes I have used Turbo Tax for about 10 years for my income tax. I can highly recommend it. Easy to use, always up-to-date on federal and state laws, help is only a click away. I requested help from an CPA. Mike called me and walked me through the system to address my concern. Mike was a great help and I highly recommend him and the service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by grefef from Issues Could not update program unless on a 5G network, but had to be on 2.5G network to access intuit account to pay state filing fees. Never had this problem in pass years, but definately had issues this year. Also customer service rep was terrible......had no idea what she was doing and refused to get someone else on the phone to help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rawwdee from Glad when it's over! Worksheets don't allow user to return to previous screen. Recurring attempts to upgrade TurboTax are bothersome.
