Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Business I used this product to file tax returns for my children's trust. After submitting via e-file I received a rejection notification. Turbo-Tax / Intuit help guided me to the efile help desk. However they only help professional tax preparers. I could find no additional help from turbo tax despite searching the desktop program and online resources for hours. TurboTax ended up being no help at all. In the end I missed the filing deadline which will end up costing me even more than the $170 that was wasted with this program. TurboTax works great, when it works. Apparently you are on your own if things don't go as planned. Very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Serious doubts and frustration Let me preface by saying that I've been using tax software, mostly TurboTax, to file my own taxes for decades, so I'm not new to it. I used to love and swear by TT and recommended it to everyone. I left TT for another software three years ago when Intuit dramatically increased the price. I reluctantly came back this year because I needed to file form 8915-F and my other software arbitrarily decided not to support that form. TT did the job (I think), but not without some unnecessary headaches. 1) They say they can import your previous year's tax info from a pdf. They can't. The feature doesn't work. 2) There is supposedly a feature that allows you to import cryptocurrency transactions from a spreadsheet. There isn't, at least not on the desktop version. After entering all of my other income information, I searched high and low for any mention of cryptocurrency in the program and found none. After searching for help online, it turns out that this feature is only available online. Are you kidding me? The options given were to: A) completely restart my return from scratch online, import the transactions, then save the file and open it with my desktop software, or B) use a summary of the transactions on my return and mail a detailed statement of the transactions to the IRS after I e-filed. It's completely asinine to have the features of the online version be different from the top-tier of the desktop version. (Addendum: Later in the program, it did eventually ask me if I had any cryptocurrency assets. When I answered yes, it moved on to another topic as if I had answered no. What was that all about?) 3) I'm not convinced that my sole reason for coming back to TT, form 8915-F, was completed correctly. It asked me a couple of questions about my form 8915-E from last year, but when I entered the information, it had no impact on my refund amount. I was too tired and frustrated to dive deeper, so I'm relying on their accuracy guarantee and paid for the audit protection. (I guess creating a lack of faith in the accuracy of the software is actually a good way to sell more audit protection, but that's kinda messed up.) So there it is. I thought after my hiatus that TT might wow me again. It didn't, but it got the job done (I hope). I honestly don't know what I'm going to use next year.
