Rated 3 out of 5 by from NO Support for Louisiana R10606 Form For the last 3 years I have had the disappointment of TurboTax (which bills itself as THE Do it yourself tax Software) not supporting Louisiana Form R10606 Supplemental Worksheet for Credit for State Taxes paid to other states. This applies to Louisiana full time residents who work part time in other states as non-residents of those states. Although the Tax Software performs the calculations to allow you to get credit for taxes paid to other states, it SIMPLY WILL NOT PRINT OUT THE R10606 Form within your tax return. So when you e-file your Louisiana Tax Return, the Louisiana Tax Revenue office has to send you a letter requesting the missing R10606 Form otherwise they will not credit you the taxes you paid to other states and thus increasing your tax liability by you being double taxed. This results in you having to download this form, performing the calculations yourself and then mailing back your full Federal, Louisiana and other state return to the Louisiana Revenue office and wait for them to accept it manually. The ridiculous thing is that the TurboTax software performs the calculations, it just won't print out the R10606 form and include it as part of all the other forms it lists as backup for your tax return. This seems like such as easy fix considering the calculations are already being made. With Federal Premium and 2 States I am paying $248.25. It is ridiculous that TurboTax will not correct such a simple oversight and cause so much grief and additional work for their customers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be careful Not great. Bought Premier at Costco. Tried multiple times unsuccessfully to install. Called the help line. Yvonne from Georgia patiently tried to walk me through multiple times--unsuccessfully. She finally connected me with TT on line. Done in about two hours but I got charged again. Now I have to try and get a refund on the CD. Not happy.

This year I was able to import both of our W2s and after realizing last year that itemizing didn't help with my tax situation, we breezed through our tax returns and were able to fill everything out and file electronically in about 45 minutes, that was me being very careful to review everything, so it could have even been faster. Thanks Turbo Tax!
