Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3rd Year Review This is my 3rd year filing with Turbo Tax and it seems to be a different experience every year. This is the first year I bought and sold stocks and apparently I have to pay Turbo Tax because I had ONE extra simple form this year. Then I was almost swindled into pay $40 in fees just to have Turbo Tax take from my federal return?! No thank you, I will pay with my card. I'm very upset with my Turbo Tax experience this year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too hard to track IRA basis (Form 8606) Overall TT is good, but it's too hard to track your nontaxable basis in an IRA over the years. The questions in the step-by-step interview bury this under "nondeductible contributions", and even when I decoded this, TT never asked me to enter the total value of my IRA as of December 31 of the previous year. I had to find that in the Forms View and enter it by hand on the IRA Worksheet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Turbotax Turbotax was easy to use, found credits and deductions I would not have found on my own, eliminated the hassle of reading through IRS forms and trying to interpret them, and the worry of getting something wrong. I had two Turbotax agents review my return, both were extremely helpful and professional. I was able to ask questions, get answers, and feel confident that my return was done correctly.
