Rated 2 out of 5 by from Annoying bugs, sorely lacking state return TurboTax continues to deteriorate year after year. This year there were a few actual bugs where I was not able to enter information via the interview (no entry accepted into the field), and had to go into forms mode to make the entry. Data source and entry explanation in forms mode is sometimes inaccurate or altogether missing. Some of the interview flow is inconsistent e.g. if I need to go back and adjust a capital gain entry, I am forced to page through all my foreign account entries again (why isn't it a separate entry area). Two incredibly frustrating 'features' that I've reported for the past several years and never gotten any feedback on: (1) inability to paste a password into the password field for downloading from financial institutions. We are all recommended to use password managers and long random passwords, so this forces me to type in a 12+ character string rather than being able to cut / paste from my password manager (2) why do you pester me to provide my mailing address, email, cell every time I start the program? You claim it is to allow you to contact me if there is important IRS information - well guess what you have my email and my intuit account. Let me say 'no thanks', or at least pre-populate the information from the prior year. Finally, the support for the state return is pretty dismal. The interview doesn't even cover all the federal to state adjustments and in forms mode there is no help whatsoever. Disappointing and I may well try another option next year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fails importing data from financial institutions I am using turbo tax for almost 20 years. I have not seen this year fails ever before. It crashes during import mortgage statement from the top US bank. It fails to import option trades from top US brokerage. There is no live support line to report their bugs, only stupid public forum. The only thing worked perfect is giving idiotic badges for posting or logging into their forum. Terrible.
