Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, Only one issue Been using it for years with no problems, This year I had a large contribution to my university directly from my IRA. A pass through amount NOT included in income.Could not figure out how this was recorded. Found the answer in chat notes, along with some incorrect answers. Suggest this be discussed on the page where amount is reported. Answer doesn't come up until three or four questions later. (Include a statement on line 4a 4b explaining it was a QCD transfer.Will see how it works.

Uploading docs and info is straightforward, it's easy to move between sections and review/edit info, and every call was handled expeditiously and clearly. Having k-1's isn't easy, and the three experts with whom I worked (one after another) were great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo tax US for Canadian residents I find there are more and more barriers to filing my US taxes as a Canadian resident. You need a US credit card. The address parts are set up for US addresses only. Signing up for audit defense is a royal pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from turbo tax made simple & easy step by step guidance many options given to help you throughout the process.Highly recommend for first time filers !!!! options given on how you want your refund delivered also what caught my eye was the option of adding wills if needed i like that option.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worse Every Year I've used TurboTax for decades and it seems to get worse and worse. More obscure and harder to navigate. It wants to ask questions and you have no idea if they are relevant. It is hard to do "trials" such as what is the effect on my taxes if I put more money into 401(k) or 529 accounts.

I like that it fills in last years info and there lies the problem, I feel like we are all busy so Turbotax takes advantage of that fact by offering the prefill for a ridiculous markup - especially for those of us using it year after year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Reporting Options Trade is terrible. Reporting Options trading is terrible. The Import feature does not work quite well. I did a number of Cash secured PUTs and Covered CALLs and all of which expired. The import is very tedious and data entry form is very confusing and misleading.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax for Trusts This software is very clunky and isn't intuitive like the individual Turbo Tax edition. The help didn't work for me at all. I didn't need one of the forms, and yet Turbo Tax wouldn't submit my tax return unless I corrected something in a form that I didn't need. Next year I may go for an alternate way of doing this return - especially with the price of this product over $100. I'm not satisfied.
