Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly Good I have used TurboTax for years, but it needs some improvement for traders. I think an intermediary step that imports a long 1099-B and summarizes it appropriately for the customer to put on the tax form would be better than asking the customer to dither for hours over what would be acceptable to IRS. I trade quite a bit, and the import limitation was very frustrating. Also, the instructions need to be much clearer surrounding wash sales being aggregated with the summary amounts. Let's not even talk about K-1s. Every field should have an explanation. Seeing pages of fields that one has no clue about is very frustrating. Granted, I have excised all Limited Partnerships from my brokerage accounts due to tax annoyances.
