Rated 5 out of 5 by from The easy way to prepare and file your taxes I have used turbo tax for many years and have never been disappointed in the performance or precision of the program. It makes filing easy as it walks you through step by step, a fine product which I will continue to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Time User I have Turbo Tax discs back to about 2003 so that should tell you that I have grown with all the great features and ease of use of the product. Now I can type in my retirement account name and account number and you fill in all of the rest of the information for me! I also use It's Deductible for all my charitable giving and Quicken for my checking account and cash spending.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incompetent implementation of foreign tax credit Claiming the foreign tax credit is painful enough without TurboTax refusing to efile the result. TurboTax requires that the foreign tax amount on the 1099 be linked to a specific Form 1116 and a specific column - but that summary amount includes tax payments to multiple countries, and thus must be broken down to enter on multiple 1116 forms and columns. I created the multiple 1116 forms needed manually - the software correctly labeled the additional forms as "Statements" and summarized the amounts to the first 1116. But the error checking process flagged that the 1099 amount was not linked to a single form and column, requiring manual filing. Otherwise TT is fine.
