Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Now Charging to File Electronically I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and was very happy with it, but this year the program is more difficult to use, and they are now charging to file electronically. I purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe from Costco for Federal returns only since my state does not have an income tax. I was able to file one return electronically, but when I tried to send my son's return they wouldn't let me do it unless I paid $60.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax Payment to File Very Confusing I purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe CD from Target for $50. As a senior, I think the tax prep section is great. However, I had a problem completing the actual filing portion. Kept asking for payment before I could file. I ended up paying an additional $65 to e-mail the returns just to get it done (State filing was supposed to be free).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good tax software, always use TurboTax. Fairly easy to use. This year (2020) version was a pain to install. Kept getting errors about missing files and I never even had it installed - CD version. Downloaded direct from website and it seemed to go smoothly, no missing file errors, but then stopped dead at around 10% installed. I was getting ready to make a phone call but kept trying to install on my own. After 2 more attempts, it finally installed and updated with no more issues. Did my taxes with no issues. I was a bit leery but all was good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unable to e-file my State Tax form so I mailed it, II have used Turbo Tax for many years and I think it is great. However this year I was unable to e-file my State Forms. When I got to the final steps to e-file I was unable to scroll down low enough to see and click on the final box to e-file. So I called your help line and your rep could not help or connect me to your accounting person (Case # 475540273) to pay your $25 fee. So I gave up and mailed my form with my payment. I would suggest that you fix this problem as the turbo tax worked great until I got to trying to e-file my State Form.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit long, but good I tried the on VIA BECU but it wouldn't work right. I wasn't able to add my 1099-R. I went to USBANK and it worked fine. Much rather use TurboTax than go to an accountant.
