Rated 2 out of 5 by from Getting really expensive i have used turbo tax for about 4 years now. Its easy and i have enjoyed it using it. Our taxes are easy which is why i like using it. This will be the last year that i use turbo tax, i was charged $230 to file my taxes this year. In the past it was it was less than half of this amount, which is why i liked it. I will not use this product again.

The section on sale of stock from employee stock options was so complicated that, after calling the employer twice, we decided to just enter the numbers from the 1099 B. Also, sometimes we double-clicked on a value and were not shown where it came from. We didn't like that we had to use Easy Step in order to apply our refund to 2021 taxes instead of just entering the amount on line 36 of 1040. A summary of charitable contributions would have been nice.
