Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved us time and money! Our taxes this year were the easiest yet. We did the live help version, asked a few questions, had them review what we input and TurboTax was able to find and correct mistakes so we got a refund instead of owing $1400!

I've been using this for a decade now, and I have a complete digital history of all my documents, and filings, as well as the ability to print the return too! The past years are great reference material for future returns, and the programs pulls in the past information for ease in use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has bugs I had to delete and redo RI state return because it was forcing me to file RI-1099PT when I didn't need it. It also had errors on the withholding information when it asked me to add information for on a line that shouldn't exist for a third employer that I didn't have in RI. In previous years, it asked if each W2 on federal applied as state income or not for each state when I started the state return. Also it should have asked me to exclude relocation expense on CA returns given that I moved, that it did not. Had I not know it and corrected it manually, I would have paid a lot more taxes in CA. Overall this years was a bad experience and not sure if I would be using it next year after having used turbotax for 22 years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works TurboTax works, but it really really wants your money. They make it very difficult to stay on the free version and don't make it clear what is only included on paid versions or how to remove those parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much improved over previous years! In the past, I have found TurboTax's screens to be hard to read because the font color was too light. Finally, this year, it was bright and easy to read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from doesn't quite explain like I'm a child. I know nothing about taxes. And while, for the most part, I feel like I can complete my taxes with turbo tax, there's a huge part of me that feels like I'm missing out on deductions that a tax expert might find. I find the state tax section to be especially confusing. Literally none of the info from quickbooks transferred over to Turbo Tax this year...after several attempts. Last year we used someone at turbo tax to assist us b/c my husband has his own business, and when we found out that quick books had not accounted for an entire quarter of expenses (she never found that), she told us we were being unethical and quit helping us. So yeah...that was interesting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its fine The overall use of the software is simple and easy, but my entire return just went to paying for the extra features that I apparently have to pay for to file all my taxes correctly. I get that this is a business that is trying to make money, but as a lower income person it sucks losing some extra money to a large company.
