Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get's easier every year! Pulling information from previous returns and importing from banks and investment firms makes it incredibly easy. Not sure why anyone would pay to have their taxes done when it is so easy with TT.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not recommend. Over priced for doing little. It gets the job done, but its not free. Only used out of connivence since I've already used it before and it already has all my info and I can do it from home. Its claims to be free but there is NO FREE OPTION. I will try to get a head start and use H&R block next year which I hear is about the same price but someone will do it all for me in about 30mins.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what it used to be - long time user I have been using TurboTax exclusively for my taxes for close to 2 years. Different phases of life- marriage, moving, new jobs etc. Up until 2022, my opinion was that it was the best tax software and most of my extended family used it. After doing my taxes this year (2022 filing year) I have to say I am disappointed and shocked at what a sham TurboTax has become. The cost alone is outrageous, my taxes are simple and I have purchased the Deluxe version every year for less than $60. This year it cost over $300 for me and the same tax situations, at the end of doing them it said I had to upgrade to Premium in order to efile (for reasons that didnt exist on my return) and the price went through the roof. It's good software, easy to use and probably is no more risky than any other competitor our there. However, I would suggest that people research options and not just blindly go with TurboTax. I have been loyal for decades but moving foward I will look at other options myself.
