Rated 3 out of 5 by from recovery of log in password is IMPOSSIBLE I spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a customer service rep. trying to log in to my account and they couldn't do it. I have yet to get security to get back to me. Also the tax review did not like the way my IRA was reported - So What? I Can't Change That. I entered what the IRA reported. Oh yes and Turbotax won't let me use my nickname. What? I can't even make one up?

I particular like the step by step approach and the guidance you receive along the way. I have used Turbo Tax from the beginning and it helps me feel in control instead of a third party or tax professional.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Asks for upgrades too many times So many times, throughout the return, it asks if you want to upgrade. Other optional items that were declined popped up again to see if I would say yes then. There should be an upgrade option on the side that you can select if you change your mind instead of having to decline upgrade options 5 times in 30 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tied up the process I have been a loyal user for many years. Last year (2021 tax year) was the first time I experienced issues with completing and efiling my returns. It was so frustrating that I printed and mailed the returns. No resource within TT could get the program to work correctly. This year I came back and after completing my returns I could not pay through the online portal. TT would not accept any of my cc's. After many minutes I was finally able to speak to a fellow human being. She was great but also confused as to the issue. After a long hold wait time she came back and explained my account was locked due to my request for credit on the efiling fees from the prior tax year. I have yet to receive the credit. Anyway, Tax year 2022 is in the books and I will continue to use the service.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax for 2022 repeatedly had issues loading The 2022 version of TurboTax consistently gave me problems loading especially after updating. The program ran very slowly even when all other programs were closed. No other programs on my computer had this issue. Previous year's versions never had this problem. This slowed the tax preparation process down substantially. There was also a problem with the program identifying a successful from a financial institution. The program reported that there was no information downloaded, but in fact it downloaded TWICE inflating the information. It needed to be manually vetted to remove the error. TurboTax reported everything as error free, which was NOT accurate.I have bee using this program for years and this is by far the worse version I ever used. I'm not sure why, but it almost appears as the programming process has changed, with much poorer quality assurance.
