Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wouldn't file my taxes without Turbo Tax The format is easy to follow and the cost is appropriate. I've used Turbo Tax for well over a decade and cannot imagine attempting to use any other service. It's free to file my state taxes so I don't pay the additional to file my state. I would more strongly consider it if the price was lower. The cost is the same for federal as it is for state which does not seem like a good value. It's a pain to have to go through the state filing process when I know I'm not going to use it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some trouble amending the 1099-DIV I've been using TurboTax for several years, and it generally works great. This year, though, there were some glitches with the 1099-DIV, and it was difficult to get to where I could actually change the information that I needed to change. TurboTax insisted on me changing just the ZIP code, when it was the entire address that was at issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bug handling NY taxes Turbotax is not deducting NYS retirement income from the NY income. I had to force override. To make matters worse, now it won't e-file - it's making me print and file by mail. Note: This worked properly in 2021, the bug was introduced in the 2022 version.
