Rated 4 out of 5 by from A problem this time I've used Turbo Tax for nearly ten years, without a glitch, but this year, after the review of my Federal information, a window asking me about out-of-pocket expenses for health insurance popped up, saying that we might be able to reduce our taxes with those numbers. My wife spent a couple of days contacting people to get the information, but when I tried to input it into TurboTax, that window never came. I called TurboTax to find out what was happening, which took three hours. I would urge you to have a real person answer the phone, who could then triage my problem and decide whether to send me to the machine or, if my problem warrants it, to a real person. Tax preparation is too complex for someone to be able to communicate their needs by choosing between the few options offered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to do your own taxes! I've used Turbo Tax for years now, and I will continue to use it! If you can answer simple questions (mostly yes/no) then you can do your own taxes! It's always available to you to do your taxes, so you don't have to make an appointment! Just do them on your time!

Cost me less if not the same to just have them do it for me. Thanks for my $50 return...feels so good to be stewing it up in poverty over here.

I had a problem with the ID for the state of MN. I was on the phone for about 15 minutes. I am puzzled by the solution: I had to use 9999999 for the state code.
