Rated 2 out of 5 by from wasted a lot of time with Turbo Tax "bug" I w as in a catch 22 with Turbo tax. I happened to be one of the households that was on the bubble between itemizing deductions and taking the standard deduction. I chose to "itemize", Turbo Tax said that Itemizing would be the most beneficial because my itemizations were bigger than my standard deduction. Turbo Tax also confirmed I was itemizing. However, Turbo Tax kept flagging an error and automatically changing my spreadsheet to the Standard deduction. After much wasted time and numerous attempts to satisfy Turbo Tax AND itemize - I finally decided to Google whether or not Turbo Tax had a software bug associated with this. As it turned out, yes, Turbo Tax did. VERY frustrating!!! Surely TurboTax knew about this and could have fixed it in one of the numerous updates I am constantly having to check and download.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turbo tax is not awsome This product says it runs on a MAC book and it used to. Not this year. I had to switch machines. The software will not let go of 1099-R box 9a. It will not take blanks or zero but that is what is on the form. The internet says that's OK and turbo tax should take it but it would not let me file until I changed it to a non zero value. Next year I am going to look into your competition.
