Its deceiving
It constantly tells you that you're almost done when you're actually one or two hoops of fire away from getting anything done.

Thank you to the live experts!
I was extremely stressed trying to do my own taxes using TurboTax as we had several complicated issues to address, including multiple rentals across several states, educational expenses, childcare expenses, and being duel military. One of our rentals had sold, another had significant depreciation and my husband retired from the military. I was getting very frustrated trying to do everything myself as I was getting wildly varying owes/returns, so eventually turned everything over to a TurboTax Live expert. It was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Love the program
I really like how the program walks me through everything. The only thing I would add to this is some language that will tell me why there is a noticeable difference between tax refund or tax due from previous years.

Great and very easy for No-Income filing!
Great and very easy for No-Income filing! It took me around 1.5 hours to do it, and it was my first time!

TurboTax shorted us low-income family's
I've used them for years...for free due to my disability & income status. It was better when I was active-duty military. But they decided to "short" the low-income folks this year for some reason...to make more money maybe. At least I still had access to my past filings for only $59 (+ tax). It sucks a bit...but not much I could do for this year's filing.

TurboTax bug prevents state efiling
A number of users (including me) ran into a problem with state efiling. TurboTax Business refused to efile with the state, giving an error "Electronic filing information: Dcn has too many characters"... The problem was acknowledged, and users were told they would be updated when a solution was found. Instead, the page which admitted to the bug and allowed users to sign up to hear about the fix was REMOVED ! After digging a bit, I developed a theory... The DCN is the *federal* id, assigned after the federal result is e-filed (and accepted). I think I hit this bug because 1) the feds increased the size/length of the DCN beyond what TurboTax Business would accept in the Massachusetts state partnership tax form, and 2) I e-filed my 1065 a day before I attempted to e-file my state return. I had already received the DCN number back from the IRS by that time, which then made it impossible for me to e-file with Massachusetts. It was also impossible to print a copy for filing-by-mail, as TurboTax politely informed me that Massachusetts does not accept file-by-mail for that form, and so it refused to both e-file and file-by-mail. My solution: create a whole new TurboTax file, re-entering all my data identically to the first time. Then, *only* e-file to the state. That worked. And was incredibly painful.
