Rated 1 out of 5 by from Exploitative They make it as hard as possible for you to leave once you start using it. They lock your documents behind your continued usage. They're constantly trying to trick you into adding another "service" on top of the already ridiculous fee they charge to file.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful, but needs to provide more selection I really liked using turbo tax desktop application for Mac. It is intuitive, simple and easy to follow. However, i noticed a couple of areas where it can be improved. 1. Adding more integrations for financial institutions - i tried importing my tax documents from E*Trade, but continued to run into login issues. This was quite frustrating. 2. Add easier integration for importing misc amounts, if 1099-MISC was not issued. I have to enter this manually even though websites like Coinbase (for Crypto investments) generate the report for me. Turbotax should develop features to integrate with websites even for tax numbers where reports are not available.
