TurboTax was more challenging to use this year.
I began my filing early and ran into problems trying to import data. It took me hours to find workarounds. I also encountered the "electronic filing is closed" error. However overall i am satisfied with my experience using the software this year.

I do like TT. Issues in '21 vers My ignorance.
I tried to connect with a TT Expert because I could not get beyond final check - Form 1095-b stopped me from filing. Looked for the support form 8592(?) and struggled through it, then read the 1095-A and finally put enough correct stuff in the document. I never had to deal with the 1095form before (I am way over-insured, so never used the ACA program to buy insurance. I get coverage from the VA because I am a disabled Vet. May I suggest revising the program for an alongside VA program to simplify entries that may mean nothing, as in my case, precluding a hard stop at the very end of the program. I spent a lot of time working through a non-issue doe to the program's locking me up. Otherwiwse I would have been done Saturday, 15Oct 2022 at 2199 hours and submitted at that time.

Turbo Tax very good but some frustrations
Have used for many years. Every year it finds "errors" in my return that aren't really errors and I have to ignore. This year we couldn't efile with the errors and had to change information so that it wasn't exactly corrent. Used to have the option of filing with the errors uncleared. The last 2 years we haven't been able to efile because we get an error about son not indicating on his taxes that he is claimed as dependent on ours, but he actually did answer that he is claimed on our taxes. I assume this is a glitch in turbo tax or between turbo tax and IRS that the information re: his dependency status is not being transmitted correctly. Also, even though we don't have ACA health insurance and indicated that on the return, we got an error that said we needed to file additional forms for our ACA insurance. These glitches are frustrating, especially when we are down to the wire in trying to meet the deadlines. Would be helpful to have a chat option - the "help" is not helpful.

Turbotax is full of glitches and innnacuraies
Started badly with being told on October 15 that I could no longer file electronically. that corrected after a while, then glitch was inability to file because the AGI was impossible to be verified because I filed paper last year. If your customer service knew about this problem why didn't they have warnings built into software and why aren't they working with IRS to fix it. Outrageous!!!

TOO REPETITIOOUS
I DON'T LIKE YOUR REPEATING THE OPPORTUNITY TO SAVE & PRINT ONCE THE USER HAS DONE SO. ONE "EXPERT" WAS GOOD HELP, THE OTHER HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON.

Time consuming
It is really upsetting to be forced to write a review when you need to print a report.

TurboTax is great.... Almost!
I have been using TurboTax for many years now. Impressed with the features and their products. I used their online filing as well as desktop version as well. Some pain points: 1. I wish their online and desktop versions are seamless. Online version always remember my previous returns and carry forward stuff from previous years without any effort. Desktop version doesn't do that at all, I have to figure out everything manually. There is no option to upload previous year data or data from online version, which would have made my life a lot easier. 2. JPM Chase and Bank of America integration didn't work. In case of BofA, it said import successful but nothing was imported despite trying for multiple times. I had to do everything manually. 3. I wish there is a way to upload K-1s seamlessly. I had almost 100 of them this year, and had to spend hours and hours manually to input all the data correctly. Also, losses from previous years were not carry forwarded since that isn't a feature (see #1). 4. I spent more than 2 days inputting all the data in April, and entire app crashed on me. I didn't know I had to save the return as I assumed it was auto-saved like any other app on mac. I ended up losing all the data and had to do it all over again. This time I learnt the lesson and saved the progress. So, I didn't lose data despite the app crashing on me many times. 5. I paid to download software first and it included one state by default. Then, I was hit by surprise $25 state filing fee. I would have appreciated it is transparent and was known to be before itself. 6. I would really appreciate if there is a way to upload my tax return files from desktop version to online version and vice versa so that the software can catch if I missed something from previous years. I am planning to switch back to cloud version since it is convenient, and I don't have to worry about saving the progress and app crashing. Also, I don't have to worry about the data that need to be carry forwarded from previous years. 7. I would have really appreciated if some tips were given to save taxes towards the tax planning for the next year based on all the information I have been giving you over the years.
