Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Affordable way to complete you taxes I've been using Turbo Tax every year for over 20 years. It's the best and easiest way to complete my taxes. The program is user friendly. Anything you're unsure about, when you click on the option for more information or details, I love the way it gives you examples of exactly what's being asked. I've been audited once by the IRS and was able to use the sample letter to respond to the IRS and was able to verify everything on my own with my receipts to get my full refund. The way TurboTax saves previous years returns and auto populates information into the form from the previous year, is so convenient and makes the tax filing process less intimidating and burdensome. It seems the changes they make improve and makes things even more convenient each year. I can't imagine doing my tax return if I didn't have Turbo Tax. I've also taught my kids to use it as well to file their tax returns.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Set me up to pay more I normally enjoy using TurboTax for filing my Federal Returns. It makes it easy. In the past, I would use TurboTax to check my values for my State returns since it didn't cost until I filed. This year, they changed the program and charged me for both federal and state prior to my decision on what to file. I tried multiple ways to work with their system to get the state cost refunded but they couldn't do it, even though they erroneously charged me against their policy of only paying to file. In the end, I payed an extra $60 and wasted a bunch of time troubleshooting it because of how they changed the program. Be cautious of the new process!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not handle Detroit city taxes appropriately It doesn't correctly handle the tax filing for the city of Detroit. It was an issue last year which resulted in corrections outside TurboTax after the city came to me thinking I owed them thousands additional. After fixing it, the city owed me money. I checked the 5119 and 5121 this year just before filing and the same issue was present. The filing makes the city think my wifes income should be taxed the way it's reported, but she doesn't work in the city, so it should technically be excluded from the forms.
