Rated 1 out of 5 by from Last time filing with TurboTax TurboTax makes claims of being free and then tricks you into charges once you've already gone through the process of filling in all of your information. I was lead to believe I've done the most standard of filings ($0 for everything) however I was charged $125 for federal and $45 for state. Additionally, I was not made aware that I would be paying for either until after I had entered in all my information for both; it gave me an option to cancel my state return or pay the $45. On top of that, it's deceitful wording and auto-selected premium packages are incredibly difficult to avoid. I did not want the Max package or the Premium package (not really sure what the different between these are anyway; they are the same cost of $45). I had denied the Max package and almost accidentally paid for the Premium. Last year I was able to use my returns to pay for the filing fees (which I also was not made aware of until the very end and had no option of opting out) but this year you have to pay $45 for the Premium package to do that or use a card immediately. I have used TurboTax for the past few years but this will be my last year filing with them. They are not upfront and honest about their charges at the START of the process or even throughout; because of this, I feel uncomfortable trusting this site with my sensitive personal information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE TURBO TAX This tax prep service is extremely easy to use and very helpful with making sure you don't miss anything. The format and questions are very easy to navigate and made my tax filing this year quick and painless. Thanks You!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It could be so much better Turbo Tax Business is much more expensive and provides much less help and guidance than Turbo Tax. It often asks you to fill in information that it can pull from last year's return. It forces you to look to the forums for help for things it should handle automatically. For example, I entered summary information for stock transactions and it told me I would have to attach my 1099-B to my return (that part was good). But when I got to the e-filing step it didn't ask for the form or tell me how to attach it. Turns out I had to use another program to merge the 1099 with another form I had to attach--no instructions or assistance from Turbo Tax. When I finished my return I kept looking for the part where I would file my State taxes. The answer was to go back to the part about printing a preview, find the State checkbox, and print from there. A reminder to print the form, and some guidance on how to print it would have been simple and valuable. I don't want to pay someone to do the Trust taxes, and I don't want to do it manually, but Turbo Tax Business could make it so much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is great for the technically challenged! Everything is pretty much self-explanatory! They have helpful drop down info if you need clarification on a question. They maintain your info from previous years filings (if completed on Turbo Tax). I have peace of mind with Turbo Tax!
