Rated 4 out of 5 by from Challenging But Done I have mixed feelings about Turbo Tax. The professional that I worked with was excellent. She was very helpful, professional and patient with me. I did freak out a bit when she told me how much I owed in taxes, but she waited patiently while I talked with my financial advisor and she walked me through the process until completion. However, I kept on being asked for documents that were already uploaded to the system and I didn't care for how I wasn't able to see my tax return until I agreed to pay for the service. The system did give me detailed information as to how they came up with the figures, but it took a little while for that to be visual. However, it's done and I'm it's over, at least til next year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Takes forever for Live experts to respond Once we submitted all the docs and tax situation information with turbo tax, it took forever to get any updates. We got random call instead of scheduling it and the tax prepared was all wrong. i.e. Instead of "Married filing jointly" they prepared it "Single". They added W2 of me and my wife as my sole income and didn't even bother to check the names on W2. Similar issue with cost basis of stock accounts. For any questions, chat was only way to communicate, where we would ask the questions and it would be forever to get any response. And responses would not even answer the questions asked. Once the tax is prepared the turbo tax review page doesn't show the same number to that of mentioned by Agent, causing confusion about which numbers are correct! I would not recommend this service in current form.

I thought this year would be difficult or that I would have to take it to a tax professional since we sold a house in one state and bought a house in another state. We also had taxes in 2 states, everything went well and straight forward to complete. I did have a couple of questions and the live chat was great, quickly answered questions, completed, and filed taxes.
