Rated 5 out of 5 by from Taxes made easier I can say 2 words to describe my use of your online tax preparation tools " thank you". Yep thats it. I appreciate the ease of this product and I do my husbands and my taxes and both my young adult kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too convenient despite higher $ than competitors I use TurboTax due to the convenience of referencing prior tax returns for any additional or complicated reporting requirements such as how to report MCC, stock gains/losses, dividends received, educational credits, etc. I've used a CPA once during Covid to ensure all credits maximized, but I realized following year, TurboTax was nearly the same for cheaper. Hard to justify using other online providers unless the $ goes up drastically

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Free Version but For $118 TurboTax... works. I have used it for 3 years and will continue to use it. I understand the annoying double checking steps and odd legal phrasing at points. However, they are insistent on upselling you on products that are no different. I was required to buy the TurboTax Deluxe edition (cheaper than going to a tax office so I'm fine paying some) but I saw no real differences except being allowed to submit my taxes. I'm sure there might be additional features but none were of use to me, and I definitely wouldn't have purchased it if I wasn't forced.
