Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax has fallen down a bit vs. the past Previously, I really liked how Turbo Tax really, really walked me through the process. Now, not so much. It is much more difficult to navigate and find answers to my questions. I'm seriously thinking about looking at alternative tax products. Bring back the old, step-by-step idiot process and a less cumbersome way to find your answers. Currently, I can't find answers to my questions and end up asking Google for help. That doesn't say much for Turbo Tax anymore.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TurboTax is perfectly fine, except service fees I find TurboTax to work well. My issue was in the Ticketmaster level of fees to take the $20 fee for State filing out of my refund. $40 dollar fee, what are you doing to earn that much extra. We already bought your software now you want $40 for a extracting $20 from the refund. Bad form TurboTax, reminds me of Airline change fees.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good but disturbing updates 2 weeks Your California "adjustments to income" lead the filer to subtract RIC capital gains from California income that were filed in federal return ..... this isn't correct. Should read "accrued but not paid in 2021...this is uncommon". Lots of erroneous misreporting of California income with your wording.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many software glitches and poor interface The good is that it cedes info from other sources and asks questions to help maximize deductions. However, just spent 5 hours finalizing the returns due to software glitches and a poor interface. For example, a question on one screen was left blank and as a result the software demanded we blank out key info elsewhere without explaining why. The rep could not help with this and it was only resolved an hour later when I noticed the line that was not answered yes or not, system should have figured this out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Squeezy Title speaks for itself. Not bad. I didn't try the "scan w-2" feature, but i'm sure it works fine and makes it faster.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from State tax add-ons are poorly prepared I have Turbo Tax Business. This does not include any State returns and you have to pay about $55 for each type of State return you do. I have an LLC, S-Corp and a C-Corp so I have to buy three State downloads. I just used the Virginia one for a C Corporation and it came up with a message requiring a copy of a Federal NOL F500P1 to be attached to the State return. Having said I should hit "continue" to be taken through the process it did nothing but tell me to scan this document which, based on the Forms view does not exist. It did not take me to the relevant form to be printed as it would normally do for the e-file and there was nothing in the help file, so I was left on my own. I decided to print a NOL worksheet that Turbotax has, and attached it without having any idea if that was the right document. It certainly was not marked as F500P1. This is a fairly typical issue with Turbotax when problems are complicated - the contextual help just disappears and you are left to fend for yourself.
