Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax OK, Watch Out for the Filing Fees! The calculations/creation part of the return is relatively easy. It's that you are charged $25 for state filing. This is in addition to the $60 spent for the application. So, next year, no filing state return. I'll just print and send.

I spent almost 3 times the money to have an accountant prepare my taxes and I still had to do a lot of work gathering all the content to file. I'm pretty sure my return is way higher since it educated me on what I can write off so I kept finding more and more expenses. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It is frustrating to get help with Turbo Tax I have been trying to get help with an error I made in 2009 in turbo tax for 14 years now. I pay an unnecessary penalty every year and I just don't know how to make the bleeding stop. It took forever to figure out that you can not send an email asking for help. This simply is not an option. You must make a phone call during the hours of the call center. This was not easy information to find. It seems that turbo tax is intentionally hiding this information. If the help bot can't help you then too bad. I'm planning to file a paper return next year so I can take back control of my own tax return.
