Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied with service I couldn’t e file my return because you wouldn’t give me my AGI number even though you did my 2021 returns for both federal and state. You also claimed it would be free on television.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed for the first time this year What a mess! A simple thing....upon getting to the final review, I noticed that I had not entered all of my Medical Expenses. I remembered having answered a question "are your medical expenses more than $11,000?" at one point. I answered 'no' (because my figures at the time showed they weren't). At the end, I discovered that insurance premiums are considered a Medical Expense, and also noticed that I had missed a few bills that had been paid. All of that went well over $11,000. So I tried to figure out how to go back and fix the situation. Spent an hour reading in the help section and trying everything I could think of. No luck. Called the help line and spoke with a service rep who, while she was pleasant, obviously knew no more than I did. She basically led me through all the avenues I had already tried. No luck. Her recommendation was "print out your returns and make the changes manually and just mail them in". Uhhhhh...no I don't think so. That's just silly that there's no way to fix this. There used to be a "forms" section where you could skip to a specific form and edit it directly. She said that feature is "only on the PC version now". Ugh. So she transferred me to a "more senior rep" at my request. I verified at the beginning of the call that she was a higher-level rep. She knew no more than the first person, and no more than I did. Once again led me through all of the same things I had now gone through 4-5 different times. She was zero additional help. Her recommendation was "delete everything and start over again". Uhhhh....no I don't think so after having already spent like 5 hours getting to this point and ANOTHER 3-4 hours researching and on the phone with the two of them! In the past, the best thing about TurboTax has been its user-friendliness and simplicity. I have recommended it to literally hundreds of friends, coworkers, acquaintances, etc. No more! And I may very well be moving to one of your competitors for next year's return.....depending on the response to this review.

The questions it asks helps me to think of changes to my financial situation that I wouldn't otherwise consider. The prompts are very helpful and the software has been easy for me to use.
