Rated 3 out of 5 by from Every year frustration! I like the ease of TurboTax but every year I access via my credit union and it says I will get a $15 discount and I have NEVER received it. That makes it extremely frustrating. And then because of one item it forces me to use the Deluxe version and pay so much more. I mean, I entered in one dollar amount for a 1099 and it cost me $54, this ridiculous. I plan to seek other options next year because this frustration happens ever year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BOOK ROYALTY PROBLEMS TURBOTAX DOES NOT HANDLE BOOK ROYALTIES WELL. I GET REPORTS AND A 1099-MISC FROM AMAZON FOR THE BOOK I PUBLISHED WITH THEM. LISTING MY TINY INCOME FROM IT WAS MORE TROUBLE THAN ALL THE REST OF MY TAXES.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax was Great and Saved me a lot TurboTax got me through three hurdles I've never had to work before and saved me the time and expense of having to go to a Tax advisor. I've used TurboTax since it first came on the market and would highly recommend to anyone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from E-Filing is Too Expensive Otherwise TurboTax is ok E-Filing is Too Expensive Otherwise TurboTax is ok. They sucker you into the e-file process then hit you with $25 charge and another $60 for the processor. What a joke. I'll use a tax preparing next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TurboTax makes tax filing better! When you have a question the help tools are easy to access and read. If you still have questions TurboTax has live agent chats to further assist. Not sure why anyone would try to file their taxes without TurboTax.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Crashes on some Windows systems and it very slow I've been using Turbotax for over 20 years but the last two years (2020 and 2021) have been very frustrating because the system crashes or hangs up when it tries to install updates and I have to manually uninstall it and re-install with updates turned off in order to get it to work. (And when I tell Windows to uninstall it it failes.) I then go to another computer, which has a very limited capacity but somehow will (eventually) load the return and submit it. Turbotax help has been of no help whatsoever. I developed software for over 40 years and I think I know the problem. Turbotax tries to make use of some Windows features that appear not to work on my system, despite the fact that I've had it checked out twice at local computer repair outlets. If they were truly professional software developers they would have more stand-alone capability instead of relying on obscure Windows features.
