Rated 4 out of 5 by from User for 2 decades TT lost a star because the pop up write up doesn't necessarily provide a comparison view of past year with present year all the time so users can spot errors. We're not experienced, but we do know a thing or two about the tax system we want to be sure it's right and it's sometimes difficult.

It went past the tuition amount and stated that it was completed when going through 1098-T. This happened last year also. Also said that the PA charge would be $20 but when I went to pay, they charged $25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Reliable Glad I started Using Turbotax. After 2 years of using it ..its a breeze to do my taxes. I appreciate the ability to talk to someone on the phone when something new comes along in tax law. Very professional and helpful

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Worse than last year Website still sucks. Ordeal finding and buying Premier Desktop. Put the pay for downloads on the first page, and stop trying to force me through the "you may file for free online!' nonsense. I know I need Premier desktop and I don't need to waste time, entering all of the info, just to kick me to a download hours later. 1 bug I am used to already. Every single year, you just cannot seem to figure out Back-Door Roth. Suggestion, Add a Back-Door Roth Step by Step interview. The web site instructions are wrong for the 2021 edition. Issue two, Overly complicated instructions, that you cannot actually follow for foreign tax credit (support just had me lump it all together in one). Last, issue three, when all done, the known bug of a phantom Child Care Tax Credit form must be filled for a single filer with no children (support also provided a workaround for that). Sorry TT, your Quality program needs some work. TT is actually getting worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shocked by my deductions! (in a good way) TurboTax was very easy to use. With the help of a live Tax expert, I was able to file my taxes with confidence. The result? Deductions that surprised me with so much joy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from TurboTax is great, But issues at the end Have used Turbo Tax for many years now. This year it made me purchase an additional feature because I had capital gains/losses even though it didn't impact my return. I also purchased MAX and at the end, it said my spouses name didn't match (even though it did match both what they had as well as his social security card). Annoying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from CD Version Accountant Assistance I am not happy and will most likely no longer use the Turbotax product. A change was made to know longer allow for the assistance from an accountant with the cd version of the software. This was done without any notification and I did not find out until after I purchased. I would not have purchased the cd if I knew in advance.
