Rated 1 out of 5 by from Some inherent problems that prevent filing If you are in Virginia, beware. The State requires that you eFile, but there is a problem in Turbo Tax's system that prevents eFiling. There are many questions asked in the online forum, but Turbo Tax has not answered any of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so easy to use I had done our taxes by hand for years. Then started getting schedule K forms. This was well beyond my abilities. I was referred to Turbo Tax by a friend who had been using them for years. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I only wish I had started years ago. I recommended you to my sister. She saves a couple hundred a year in tax prep costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from least stressful filing option out there I have always hated even thinking about my taxes and have so many bad memories of late nights trying to get it all done in time...yet always making mistakes. This took the anxiety away. I just answered questions, waited for them to finish, and file away. So easy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad, annoying service Turbotax offers an expensive, low quality service with limited capability to fix common issues. I spent several hours adjusting date fields for one W2 that Turbotax's software was incorrectly reading. I am also manually filing my state taxes because TurboTax did not allow me to change certain date fields to correctly reflect the time I was actually in one state. In some ways this is was fortuitous, because after a call with that state's tax office I realized that Turbotax, in addition to costing $50 for charging my state returns, would have caused me inadvertent hassle by submitting unneeded W2s with the state agency, given my residency status. Additionally, the process of manually entering in information from 20 or so pages of W2 made me realize that this, too, doesn't merit the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Triple Charged I purchased the turbotax software so I wouldn't have to pay someone to file my taxes. I ended up paying two more times for a grand total of 250 dollars. I would have been better off going to have someone else file my taxes for me.
