Rated 4 out of 5 by from TurboTax is good -- but very expensive I appreciate TurboTax for its efficiency and attention to detail. There are free options out there, but they are not as convenient and they do not cover many tax situations, such as income from several states. TurboTax makes figuring out what is owed to who easier. And there is a charge for it, both in purchasing the programs AND in filing each state. I could suggest that TurboTax roll its filing fee into the price of the state tax purchase at the start instead of having multiple purchase points. And a price break would be a good idea for those of us with limited budgets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IMPROVED OVER PRIOR YEARS Your live experts are impossible to contact. Every year I make the same suggestion -- allow the user to "print screen" -- this would be especially helpful for those of us who require several sessions to prepare our taxes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great service, as always Taxes are always my worst days of the year! I hate doing them. We have been using TurboTax for almost as long as it has existed (MacInTax before that) and without it, our pain would be 100x worse. We've never had a problem with audits except the year we retired, which is always a difficult year to get taxes right. You can't even get the time of day from an accountant for the cost of TurboTax -- same for Audit Defense. Our only complaint is how the stimulus payment was handled -- it was not well explained for our case, since we got just a small amount ($93) when apparently we were entitled to more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turbo Tax is Easy to Use in Normal Circumstances I've used Turbo Tax successfully for many years. The last two years, however, Turbo Tax did not help me when I needed help. Because my husband passed away, his social security number was no longer valid. My federal and state tax forms were rejected when I tried to file electronically. Turbo tax said they would review and help; but I received no emails. Hopefully, taxes will be simpler next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier than I thought I have using a CPS for the last 20+ years, this year at the advice of close friend, I tried turbotax....Although I was hesitant, it was thorough and walked me through the entire process. I can't believe how much I spent each year paying a CPA. Turbotax is the the way to go. I would highly recommend it.....

It is the easiest program to use and have been using it for almost as long as it's been out there. I would suggest it to the beginner to the professional...it's the Bomb!!!
