If you start to get into more complex matters, there is little useful explanation, and important checkboxes often get missed. More frustratingly is how there is always another fee, and another fee, and another fee to get your taxes actually filed. Buy the software, then the state, then the filling fee for federal, then a filing fee for state - In the end, it's actually cheaper to pay a professional to do your taxes for you.

I had my most complex tax year in 2020. 3 jobs, plus unemployment, plus a household move, plus worked in two states and did a lot of stock trading! I was able to complete all of my taxes within 2 hours because of Turbotax's effecient process. Try it, you'll love it!
