Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had major problem with TurboTax several problems First - The company I retired from sent me a 1099- Misc form for subsidizing my supplemental medicare cost. I went to where TurboTax directed me and reported it. The system then said I was self-employed and asked additional questions. I zeroed it out and reported the income in another location. In checking out my bill was for self-employed. I spent hours trying to fix this and finally got someone to talk to. They said it couldn't be changed and that was what I had to pay. I asked to talk to their supervisor and after being on hold, they came back and said they would send me a credit. I said I had been paying $49 in years past. When I used the credit, I was charged $79 +. I had already wasted too much time so I went on. When it came time to print my forms I had problems. Going to your automatic system with my questions, I kept getting answers that had nothing to do with my problem. I finally got notice that someone would call me in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later Jamir called from 800-446-8848 and when I asked for help, he put me on hold. Twelve minutes later he came back asked more questions and said he would put me on hold while checked. I asked if he could get the answer and then call me. He said he could not to that and when I pressed him he talked in circles and after I was on the line for 20 minutes, he cut me off. Today I went back into the system and worked to get someone to call. Kimberly at the same number listened to my problem and after 7 minutes she told me her computer wasn't working and she would have to transfer me to someone else. I think I went back to the very beginning but after waiting a short time Alexander answered. I went over my problem again and he asked me to go to some location and hit shift/enter (think that was it). Alexander was now in my computer. I was shocked but he walked through my error and got my forms printed. I was not comfortable with him getting on the computer but he did the job quickly. This problem was my error and I appreciated Alexander's job. In summary - I paid more than I should have and spent way too much time getting the job done. I have used TurboTax for over 20 years but this could be my last year. One more - this form requires you to agree to your rules - I am trying to give you feedback to help you. Never ask me for feedback again!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good, But Some Areas Need Improvement Turbo Tax is a pretty good product and I will buy it again next year. That said, there's a couple of things that could be improved. First, there is no income tax in Tennessee, not even a Halls Tax on unearned income anymore. Turbo Tax has a zillion reminders to do your State tax, when there are none to do. This is REALLY annoying. Second, there is no way to print the tax submittal confirmation page (that I can tell). I have to take a picture of the screen with my phone and then print that out to keep a record of my submittal in my tax file. Surely this can be fixed.
