Rated 3 out of 5 by from frustrated I have been using turbo tax for many years. I was very frustrated this year trying to file my state tax by mail. TT seems to make it very difficult trying to force me to e-file and of coarse spend the absurd price of $25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FASTEST EVER FILING THIS PRODUCT WAS VERY FAST! IT WAS ABLE TO DOWNLOAD MY INCOMEINFORMATION FROM MY EMPLOYER AND WORK FOR ME TO ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS ABOUT OTHER INCOME SOURCES OR DEDUCTIONS THAT I WAS ENTITLED TO. I APPREACIATE THE EASE OF USE OF THE SYSTEM!

I use a MacBook and this software kept bringing up some keychain login dialog box with "Deny", "Allow" and "Always Allow" every time I tried to import any info or document. This wasted 3 days of my time, I called up the support number that came up on my screen after the error, but I could not get much help. I finally found a way to disable that keychain login access box through my MacBook keychain settings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You'll be charged even when you don't want to be! I have used Turbotax religiously for many years. This year, I found out that I actually owed money. Since my tax return is simple, I didn't want to have to pay the fee when I can fill out the tax forms myself. I deleted ALL of my information and filled out everything myself. Then, when I checked out, I saw that I had been charged a full $140.22 anyway. Mind you, I had selected the basic plan which was around $50, before realizing I had to pay taxes this year, and then deleted all of my information and selected the FREE choice. Unfortunately, I feel that this is a very deceptive way to get money from people. I understand offering these options for someone who makes six figures and has complex forms, but I literally just had W-2's and student loan information. You did me wrong, Turbotax. I won't be using these services next year.
