Rated 4 out of 5 by from Check for Errors & Review Process - a Suggestion After TT checks for errors, it takes the user to these places that need fixing, this is excellent; however, the language or wording of what TT tells the user to do, is not written clearly. It should include more precise, step-by-step directions of exactly what to do to correct the error. For example, TT may say, "Check the . . . ." When actually TT means "Place a check in the box." It's not always clear if a number is wrong, missing, or not entered in the right place." Otherwise, TT is an excellent product. I have use it for 25 years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Found a MAJOR weakness this year After many years of loyal and happy use.... Sold a second house this year and that section is absolutely horrible. TTax had no problem taking my $30 to upgrade to Premier, but when I came to the section to show the sale I was never asked for 1099S information. I have a friend who works for TTax at a upper level position and it took them an hour to figure out how to get the data entered into the correct forms so I could pay my taxes Without their knowledge of which tax forms would be required to file I would NEVER have known how to get it done. Without that assistance I could of easily skipped that form completely since I was never asked to enter it and failed to report the sale at all and therefore not paid the taxes due. I doubt the IRS would of understood my reliance upon TTax to correctly file and forgiven my late fees and penalties.
